More books.

Yes, that's right, lots and lots of books have arrived for our shelves.
Books are always a treat and they can be a guilt free purchase because of their educational value....hhhhmmmm.

"American Quilts" by Robert Shaw is a wonderful book full to the brim with amazing photos of historic quilts... and not only quilts, gorgeous historic photos of quilters from days gone by.....it is a great read and a great source of inspiration.

We are very happy to have "Millefiori Quilts " by Willyne Hammerstein back in stock.

If you haven't seen this book before it is full of fussy cutting inspiration and will have you totally addicted the second you open the front cover.....hours and hours of fussy cutting inspiration and fun.

We also had 3 copies of "Patchwork Tsushin" arrive this week and as usual they are full of great projects.
Issue #184 has some more gorgeous bag patterns for us to make including some very cute animal bags.

Issue # 185 is all about Baltimores, great photos and some handy sewing hints...so well photographed that the pictures tell the story and we don't need to speak Japanese to benefit

.

Issue # 183 features basket quits with some great projects, some more bag patterns and some very cute Christmas projects that you will love to make later in the year.

We were thrilled to welcome a very special visitor to the shop this week...Helen had come all the way from Gympie in Queensland to visit us...Helen, it was lovely to meet you and your sister
Robyn...thank you for your visit and the lovely gifts you brought us.

Helen also brought some show and tell to share, a beautiful Annie Downs sampler quilt and the cutest quilt top with some of Helen's beautiful stitchery...thanks for sharing Helen.

By now everyone should have received their Quiltmania Magazines in the mail....and Sammy would like you all to know the he did all the work on mail out day...he even went to the post office with his Dad Kurt when they were all parceled up and ready to go.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone and as always we hope your weekend brings hours and hours of sewing room time.
